- To approve the creation of a Facilities Reserve Account for the purpose of completing large scale facilities projects that will cost $10,000 or more. The opening deposit of the Facilities Reserve Account will be $90,000 and the funds will be placed in a high interest savings account that has been determined by the Superintendent and the Business Manager to be reputable and stable. The account will be at a different high interest savings account than the Presidio School Project Balance Reserve Account for additional security. The interest earned in this account will remain in the account to continually increase the available balance. When the Board Approves a withdrawal to cover a facilities project, the Board will also determine a reimbursement plan to bring the funds back to the $90,000 level. The duration of the reimbursement will be part of the facilities plan and dependent upon the total amount used for the project completion.

Discussion Items
- Status of Presidio water heaters
- Presidio has a total of 5 water heaters. The 1615 Teachers Lounge water heater is old and outdated (manufactured in 1991) and is not up to code. The 1695 Gym water heater is corroded, out of code, and is leaking from the expansion tank; it needs to be replaced as soon as possible to avoid further damage. Estimates for both water heaters to move to tankless were obtained and the total estimated cost ranges from $11,500-12,500; whereas, the total estimated cost of replacing the water heaters with tank heaters ranges from $5,500-$8,000. In order to increase storage capacity and bring both water heaters up to code, it is recommended that Presidio go with tankless water heaters.
- Status of 800 building roof
- The roof on the 800 building has had quite a few leaks that have been patched and/or repaired; however, the patch and repair is proving less and less effective. During a walk through with Presidio’s Business and Facilities Managers, it was determined that the roof is in need of replacement due to the frequent leaks. Concerns were brought up about possible water damage in the roof and walls as a result of the leaks that were only patched and repaired. Presidio’s Facilities Manager was tasked with gathering estimates for a roof replacement. The estimated cost for a replacement is $6,000-10,000.
