Discussion Items:

  • Job position/description modifications – Ms. Montierth Puls
    • Ms. Montierth Puls discussed the rational of hiring more paraprofessionals as opposed to campus monitors. The requirements for paraprofessionals are more extensive and as a result the quality of student services will be more in alignment with the current instructional assistance provided by paraprofessionals.  The difference in cost will be outweighed by the higher level of professionalism and skills. When the paraprofessionals move between instruction duties and monitor duties, they will have different badges for the time/duty logins and logouts to ensure appropriate billing codes are used for varied tasks.
    • The new Business Administration Assistant will assist with both NSLP and HR departments
  • Review of school model for 21/22 SY –  Ms. Montierth Puls
    • HB2862 has been passed.  A more thorough examination of the exact content and parameters needs to be conducted.  However it currently appears that the preferred Hybrid model composed of remote and in-person sections for designated courses will work within HB2862.
  • Cafeteria Permit Renewal – Terry Garza
    • Presidio received a delinquent notice for the cafeteria renewal.  The Food Service Manager failed to submit a purchase order request for the renewal fee within the specified time frame.  We have been in contact with the Pima County Health Department to immediately rectify the situation.  Pima County has verbally indicated that we can have it immediately reinstated and just need to pay a minimal late fee. To insure this does not happen in the future, tracking all permit deadlines, notices and payments will be managed by the Corporate Office.
