Discussion Items:
Title IX Policies and Procedures to reflect 2020 Legal Requirements – 2024 Rules and Regulations were vacated by a
court, so schools have been instructed to revert to 2020 Title IX Policies and Procedures. The Board discussed using
a template to draft Title IX Policies and Procedures, including identifying a Title IX Coordinator. Presidio School
Superintendent will draft the Title IX Policies and Procedures to be presented for consideration at the February Board
Meeting.

Legal Issues Update
o OCR Case 08-24-1741 – Presidio’s legal counsel has been in communication with the OCR counsel to draft a
resolution agreement. Presidio’s Director of Education is meeting with Presidio’s legal counsel tomorrow to
review the agreement and discuss counter offers.
o State Complaint #3524 – Presidio met the most recent requirements set forth in the Corrective Action Plan
and now that Board has approved the revised Exceptional Education Services Policies and Procedures,
Presidio’s Director of Exceptional Education will submit the Board Meeting Minutes.
Employee Updates
o Middle School Enhancement Teacher – Presidio’s Middle School Enhancement teacher resigned from his
position just before Winter Break. The position has been posted on Indeed.com and interviews are in
process. In the meantime, Presidio’s Substitute Coordinator is providing coverage.
o Paraprofessionals/Monitors – Presidio is in the process of reassigning monitors and paraprofessionals to more
effectively address student needs.
o High School ELA Teacher – The teacher tendered his resignation just before Winter Break, but will remain
on staff as a contracted vendor, teaching Pima’s Dual Enrollment WRT102 course. Presidio hired Peter
Gonzales to start on January 6, 2025.
Compliance Monitoring
o ADM Audit – all required schedules, attendance rosters, and CUME files requested by the ADM auditor.
Presidio is awaiting a response.
o Cycle 1 Monitoring – Presidio’s Superintendent has been working on the report.
Field Studies & Community Partnership Items
STEM Festival Planning is underway.

Financial Reports
o A profit & Loss Previous Year Comparison YTD has been provided to the board. Financial Reports will be
supplied to the auditor so that the audit can begin on Feb 3, 2025.
Marketing
o An ad was posted in Bear Essential News promoting our upcoming Open House/Step Up day. A postcard
was mailed to a selection of residents who are likely to have upper elementary and/or middle school age
children in the Doolan Middle School, Amphi and Academy Del Sol & feeder elementary schools
zipcodes.as well as to Amphi Middle School zip code & associated feeder elementary schools. We will
question new inquiries to determine if either of the advertisements attract new students.

o We are awaiting pricing for exterior doors & hardware so that we can move forward with door replacements.
