Moved by:       Pat Johnston Seconded by:    Peggy Barnett     Outcome: Passed Unanimously

  1. To approve the December 2020 Expenditures for Presidio School as presented.

Moved by:       Pat Johnston Seconded by:    Peggy Barnett     Outcome: Passed Unanimously

  1. To approve the Presidio School COVID-19 Vaccination Policy which states that while vaccinations are highly recommended, they remain optional for all employees.  However, failure to obtain a vaccination will not excuse any employee from returning to onsite duties if that was his/her pre-COVID-19 work status.

Moved by:     Terry Garza Seconded by:     Pat Johnaton   Outcome: Passed Unanimously

  1. After consideration of the most recent COVID-19 metrics and availability of COVID vaccinations for all Presidio faculty, staff, and onsite vendors, the Board has determined that effective March 1, 2021, employees and staff shall return to onsite duties if that was their pre-COVID work status; from March 1st until March 12th to provide distance learning to all Presidio School students and provide onsite support services to those families in need; and starting March 22nd, immediately following Spring Break, to commence hybrid learning for students with the continued option for distance learning for those families stating a preference for that option.

Moved by:       Terry Garza Seconded by:    Pat Johnston   Outcome: Passed Unanimously

Moved by:       Terry Garza Seconded by:    Pat Johnston   Outcome: Passed Unanimously

  1. To deny the employee request to grant an extension of FMLA because the petitioning employee does not meet the criteria for an extension per policies contained in the current Presidio School Personnel Policies.

Moved by:    Jessica Montierth Puls   Seconded by:    Terry Garza   Outcome: Passed Unanimously

  1. To approve the employee appeal to grant status as a continuing employee should the employee return to work for the FY21/22 even though the employee terminated employment at the conclusion of FMLA.  The decision was based upon the fact that the employee was not able to return to work due to continued illness and not due to seeking alternate employment and that the employee was an exemplary and dedicated teacher who would have, under normal circumstances, be offered continued employment.

Moved by:     Pat Johnston Seconded by:     Terry Garza   Outcome: Passed Unanimously

  1. To approve returning to holding regularly scheduled Board Meetings on the first Tuesday of each month at 5:00 PM.
